Today and Tomorrow…
4/1/23 Sometimes, I feel like I am on an island. Other times, I wish I was on one. Either way, when I am operating in these mindsets, it does not exactly feel like my best self…that is when I know I need to slow down, get quiet, and connect to my higher-self. I do this today, so that I see it is worth doing again tomorrow.
4/2….I find my higher-self in gratitude for new employment. Not everything can be in accordance with my preferred timeline. I was not looking for this job when I submitted my resume. I initially submitted a resume for property maintenance, and a second resume for the mentor position. As it turns out, I got the mentor job. I am under-qualified, but 100% capable.
4/3….I find my higher-self in prayer for Jack. Last night he said goodbye. Two days ago, I offered to make him the best grilled cheese sandwich of his life. He said goodnight. Today I find my higher-self in prayer for Jack. Last night he said goodbye. Goodnight, Jack. Goodnight.
4/4….I find my higher-self in the sacred stones that adorn the path. Their energy is timeless, and I can use some of that.
I found two magic stones at a Boulder rock and gem store yesterday. Labradorite and Obsidian. One has already disappeared into the hands of the next heart that needs healing energy. That's fast acting stuff right there.
4/5….I find my higher-self in letting life be what it is, and paying attention to my present vibe and role.
Did the Earth choose the Moon, or was it the other way around?
4/6….I find my higher-self in gratitude for self-healing abilities. At one point, I thought all hope was lost. Letting go of my relationship with alcohol allowed space for recovery. Many areas in my life are experiencing rejuvenation.
4/7….I find my higher-self in solitude. I was not transitioning, or maturing gracefully in my adult life. In quiet spaces, the work gets done for me by showing me what is real, and the illusions begin to fade.
4/8….I find my higher-self in sharing with others, and listening to their experiences for sources of strength. The insights I gain from them help maintain the path.
4/9….I find my higher-self in surrendering my faith to a higher-power.
4/10….I find my higher-self in the peaceful fight to keep going. I am not perfect, and judgements along the way only weigh me down.
4/11….I find my higher-self in rest. Sometimes I wonder if it is my attitude, or my actual energy level that is on empty. While I rest, I can choose a better attitude, and adjust the focus of my energy.
4/12….I find my higher-self in subtracting what is no longer serving a productive role in my life. The accumulated excess that cluttered my mind, body, and spirit continues to fade into the past. Some things remain in safe storage, some disappear entirely. Fresh air and space opens up.
4/13….I find my higher-self in letting others be who and where they are. When I was in deep, I couldn't see past the toxic entanglements, and my own delusions. Detachment from negative energy is painful at first, and begins with me. Self-healing actions bring vitality back.
4/14…I find my higher-self in acknowledgement that today is just another Day 1. It just happens to be the best Day 1 of my life.
